Rule (Tier-2 ICI GC sites): build a single dedicated /credentials page listing every team credential (P.Eng., GSC, P.GSC, PMP, CET, LEED AP, Red Seal, COR, CHSC) with brief descriptions, no puffery
On Tier-2 Ontario ICI GC client websites, build a single dedicated /credentials (or /professional-affiliations) page that lists every team credential the firm holds:
- P.Eng. — Professional Engineer (PEO-licensed)
- GSC / P.GSC — Gold Seal Certified / Professional (Gold Seal ladder: GSI → GSC → P.GSC are the only current designations. "GSP" is NOT a current CCA designation — treat as a misnomer)
- PMP — Project Management Professional (PMI)
- CET — Certified Engineering Technologist (OACETT)
- LEED AP — Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design Accredited Professional (CaGBC/USGBC)
- Red Seal — Interprovincial trade certification
- COR / CHSC / NCSO / CRSP — safety credentials
- Gold Seal Employer badge (only if currently held — see Gold Seal Employer program is a separate, paid marketing tier — NOT the same as having GSC-holding staff)
For each credential: a brief description (1–2 sentences), the issuing body, and link to the issuer's authoritative page. No marketing puffery. No claims the credential is a license unless it actually is.
Why: the audit at Gold Seal adoption at major Ontario GCs: PCL CEO Chris Gower + COO Todd Craigen are GSC; EllisDon postings list "PMP or Gold Seal" preferred; Aecon/Bird/Maple Reinders/Pomerleau/Chandos/Graham/EBC on Gold Seal Employer roster shows this is what procurement leads and architects look for when pre-qualifying a Tier-2 GC. A single /credentials page is the easiest place for an Owner's Rep or CM consultant to verify the firm's credentialing depth without trawling team bios.
How to apply:
- Link from the global footer (under "About") and from every team-bio post-nominal.
- Refresh after every new hire or new credential earned. Treat this like a changelog.
- Use schema.org
Person+hasCredential+EducationalOccupationalCredentialmarkup so credentials are surfaced in Google knowledge panels and AI overviews. See Rule (Tier-2 ICI GC sites): use schema.org Person + hasCredential + EducationalOccupationalCredential markup so Gold Seal credentials surface in Google knowledge panels and AI overviews. - Pair with Rule (Tier-2 ICI GC sites): display "Name, P.Eng., GSC" post-nominal with a one-line tooltip explaining the credential at grade-8–10 reading level (the bios that link in) and Rule (Tier-2 ICI GC sites): pair every Gold Seal mention with concrete experience numbers — "GSC PM with $300M+ delivered ICI" reads stronger than "GSC PM" (the project pages that pair credentials with track record).
