RULE: Best-fit GC profiles — $1M–$5M residential design-build with 5+ employees + admin + a published award, OR $5M–$20M COR-certified ICI on a stale site
Created 2026-05-23
Rule: Best-fit GC prospects must meet at least one of these profiles:
- $1M–$5M Ontario residential design-build or custom-home builder with 5+ employees, an office manager, and at least one published award (RenoMark, WRHBA SAM, OHBA Awards of Distinction).
- $5M–$20M ICI GC who is COR-certified (COR™ certification (IHSA-administered in Ontario) is required for City of Toronto, Metrolinx, Infrastructure Ontario, TTC bids) and bidding municipal work but is on a Wix or pre-2018 WordPress site.
- Recently-rebranded firms (ownership change, family succession, M&A integration) — they have a forcing function for a new site.
- Firms whose closest competitor just launched something better — competitive pressure shortens the sales cycle. Pioneer Craftsmen's Webflow rebuild (KW regional GC exemplars (use as reference, not prospects): Pioneer Craftsmen, Melloul-Blamey, CHART Home) puts pressure on every other KW renovator.
Why: The disqualifiers in RULE: Politely decline GC prospects under 5 employees, "just give me leads" framing, active 12-month directory lock-in, or no published projects beyond stock photos mean below this threshold the engagement either won't close or won't deliver outcomes.
